Bit of a personal post… When I moved back to Savannah in the summer of 2011, we didn’t have a record store. Little did I know what Ryan Graveface had in mind… He opened his doors that October, and I have been a fan ever since. If you join his record labels record club, you don’t just get hand poured, special numbered, colored vinyl, but you get the deep, inner workings of this fantastic mans brain. And a puzzle piece or two.
This time around Ryan commissioned 10 of his favorite artists to create one-of-a-kind Garbage Pail Kid trading cards. So, presenting card 176/250, Clumsy Corbin, drawn by the talented Chloe Pinnock. What’s so brilliant is that every time I look at this card I see something different that I love. The little bow tie, the breaking plates and glassware, etc.
This is a true commitment to the craft, and I hope I can bring similar sentiments to the folks who dine at BowTie Barbecue Co.
Also got some this sweet batch of records from The Casket Girls (with some killer art from William Schaff), The Stargazer Lillies, and Night School.
Thanks team. Y’all rock.
